If you are not able to see a photo shared with you, it might be because the person who first posted the photo did one of the two things: Did not allow Friends of Friends to see the post. And you’re not in the Friend circle of that person. Excluded you.
Check the Original Post
- Select your name on the main Facebook page.
- Scroll down to look at your posts.
- If you see text directly underneath a post that says something like ‘1 share’ (or more if you’re popular), that means it’s been shared.
- Select the text to gain more information about who has shared it.
If Facebook says someone has shared your post but you can’t see that person’s name, that means that person has the privacy level of their profile set to something other than “Public” AND you are not on their Friends list.
Just below the post, you will see there are like, comment, and share features available. So, in order to check who shared your post on Facebook, look above the “share” feature. You will here get the update of how many people shared your post on Facebook.
